Hey guys, I have an Asus Rog Strix gaming f motherboard. I am trying to use my RGB case fans that came with the case with the motherboard using the 5V connector. The mobo only has one of these ports. I have 6 fans and want to add strips as well. The problem is only 3 fans will work through the port any more will not work. In Aura it says that the port can only handle 500 rgbs, which seems like a few. What do I do? Am I supposed to be using 12V or something like that for the fans?

Thanks,

Joey

You'll need a hub if you can't daisy chain any more off that single port. Something like this. https://www.newegg.com/cooler-master-mfx-mhhn-10nn1-r1-black/p/1W8-0049-00070

It connects to the ARGB port on your motherboard then breaks out to 6 outputs. Its also a fan hub but you don't have to use that portion.

TBH I think you should be able to run more than 3 fans off that one port but if you say its not working....
