I highly doubt it'll have modding support, we can still hope though.

But who knows, we might not even need modifications for this game? I think we should just give it some time before we decide whether or not we need to mod this game.

Sleeping Dogs have absolutely nothing to do with Watch Dogs, they're two entirely different games developed by two different companies, published by two different publishers.

  • 1 year later...

its not going to have modding support, its using the same engine as assassins creed, also watch dogs and sleeping dogs are different companies

That's a shame, the edge a modable game would have would be to correct realism errors.

Make the Safford Fountain, Buckingham fountain like it's supposed to be

Make the Vault Tower, Chase Tower like it's supposed to be.

And so forth...(nice of them to break the fourth wall with the 2nd Regiment Armory)

Then the standard GTA modding affair of importing real cars.

Long shots would be repairing the "damage" to The Chicago Theater (Ambrose Theater ingame) and getting the hideious abortion that is "May Stadium" to atleast passingly resemble US Cellular Field.

Hardcode lockouts net the PC version minimal value (unless you have a $3,000 PC, may as well just get the console version.)

So once I get bored with the game, which will happen quickly with all of the 'gameplay liberties', everytime I look out over the 'north' coast and see mountains (no terrrain that rugged along the Lake Michigan shore, biggest thing's a damn landfill) it angers my blood...because that could've been the north side, the inland 'sea' to the west and ficticious rivers dividing the city like New York meant that key southside landmarks (Museum Campus, Soldier Field, Grant Park) were REDACTED.

That thin glimmer of hope that I could replace the [Changed to not infringe on Trademark/Copyright] names with the true names (like many initial GTA mods) motivated me getting the PC version, well that was $60 down the drain...once I finish the campaign it's gone, too many geographic errors for my Chicagoan brain to compute.
