I've been out of the PC building game for nearly 6 years now, I'm looking to build a simple Micro ATX build for work, something compact and easy.  Needs to be fast too. The purpose of this tread is to get recommendations on parts that would be better for my budget or build. I also would like to make sure all the parts I have chosen are compatible. Here is what I got so far.

That motherboard is B460, and you have a 3rd gen core processor, the two aren't compatible.

Either get a 10th gen core processor or an LGA 1155 socket motherboard.

I was looking for a good LGA 1155 micro ATX but it seems most of them come refurbished?  Do you have any recommendations?

I cant really recommend buying a CPU from 8 generations ago. Get a 10th gen processor, the i5-10400 would be my recommendation.

I am making a part list right now, and am wondering, did you choose that case because it is cheap? Or because you like the looks?

Both haha, but I need to be able to burn disks and I don't see a bay for it, so I may not go that route.

I would definitely appreciate a parts list that's a little bit more updated 🤣🤣

I found a case with an included disk drive. What perfect timing.

Edit: reading the reviews the fans kind of suck, you can pick a few up on amazon for 20ish bucks. Though with this system I think a single exhaust and intake fan would do.
