Hello everyone,

So I recently decided to sleeve my own cables to add the finishing touches to my build but I have run into something that has confused me. I have been using this pin out diagram for my Corsair RM750x PSU (https://pc-mods.com/blogs/psu-pinout-repository/corsair-psu-type-4-cables-pinout) 24 pin and CPU cables are installed and working fine. But I noticed that the 8 pin PCI-E connectors for my GPU (RTX 3070) don't go into the PSU, there is a join between two of the terminal housings that means I can't plug it into the PSU (see photo 1). However, when I looked at my cables supplied by corsair with the PSU I noticed that the connector for the PSU side of the GPU appears to be an EPS?! (see photo 2) Is this right? Following the pin out diagram I have linked I also have a 'no wire' in a different place from the corsair cables (see photo 3)! Please help! Don't want to fry my lovely 3070! 😞

Have also included photo of case at present (see photo 4), would like to get those GPU cables in soon to complete it.

It almost looks like bad manufacturing of the connector and that bit wasn't removed.

Even on the diagram you linked shows that PCIE power and EPS are the same on the PSU side.

The one that Corsair left blank on the PSU notice wire 5 on PSU side goes to both 4 and 8 on GPU side.

The cables don't go from pin 4 to pin 4. They do criss cross a bit.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
