Hi,

My name is Santhosh located in Hyderabad, India. I run my own gaming parlour and I was wondering is there any solution to maintain one Storage device for all my 10 PC’s and install all the games in that and can be played in any of the 10 PC’s at the same time. Stadia and other platforms are not available in my region and vpn usage I won’t prefer much. Let me know if my query is not clear.

Thanks,

Santhosh

I remember a way to wire an entire steam library to a single windows server based NAS back in Indonesian E-Cafe days, but with how tightly tied game files are with client DRMs, large local storage on each system with a cache server are way more expandable and less jank.

The issue here is that any changes happening to the game files will cause basically fatal errors in most games. That or windows just takes ownership of the files for that one session and they become read only or even inaccessible. You cant really get around local installs any more.

If this is to save on downloading updates you can make a steam update server in your network where one system provides any and all downloaded games (doesn't even have to be steam limited but setting it up for steam is easiest).
