Hi we’re using an EVGA 1000 G+ Supernova

should be plenty of GPU cable connections available on that PSU. Yes, its absolutely OK to use 2 single 8 pin or 6+2 as they usually come.

Hello,

so I’m helping my brother finish his build and he got his hands on a GeForce RTX 3070 from Tuf Gaming, we ran into a problem where the GPU needs a power supply cable that’s 8x2 Pins but his Powersupply only has 8x1 cables, so the question is can we use 2 of the 8x1 cables? Or will this fry the board and GPU, thanks.

no you absolutely need all the cables to run the gpu. first of all, what power supply do you have? a too low watt power supply could be the reason.
