Modem-Router suggestion

Hello,

 

I am looking to buy an ADSL+ modem/router. I have a 24Mbps broadband at the moment, but I will be getting a 100Mbps broadband connection soon.

What I am looking for in the modem/router is good (really good) wired performance. That's the most important thing. I also need it to be wireless so that my family can connect their devices too. Wireless performance does not matter that much. I wouldn't be looking at an AC router unless it had way better wired performance (which it usually won't, I think).

 

It would be mainly used for gaming on my desktop PC.

 

I was looking at the Asus DSL-N66U and it seemed really good. I would like to know if there are better alternatives at around that price (up to 200 dollars).

Cant go wrong with the asus router.

I know it is good. I wanted to know the alternatives. Anyone with any info? I know there is a Linksys E4500 as well. Is it better, worse for my needs?

Oh, I just noticed that the RT-N66U does not have a modem built in. The DSL-N66U does. So... Any other routers with modems built in?
