Hello. I am running the latest version of windows 10, have reinstalled as well as installed older versions of the driver for the Realtek 8812AE Wifi PCIE Adapter I have, tried a different WiFi adapter, reset network settings, etc. but this problem just won’t go away. I’m not sure when this started happening, but for a while now my computers WiFi never works properly. When I start my computer, even if auto connect is on, I need to manually connect via the WiFi symbol on the taskbar. This usually takes me about 3 tries just connecting, reconnecting, connecting, reconnecting until it finally works. Then I will have a worse speed then usual and reconnect and disconnect till I get a better one. This process takes 10 minutes and the internet also randomly cuts out and I have to repeat, this has been doing on for months now. I decided to try and finally fix it today and after flushing DNS and resetting winsock as well as multiple other things, it just got worse. Now it says “can’t connect to network”, but if I get lucky it connects for about 30 seconds and then disconnects again. I’m at a loss here. Thanks.

@otarz

  1. How far are you from the wireless source if you were to draw an imaginary straight line? Any floors or walls in between?
  2. What is the make/model of your wireless router? Any other network equipment involved?
  3. Run a wireless survey using WiFi Analyzer (free on the MS Store) and post the channel analysis (‘Analyze’ page) for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
