Is the Intel® I225-V 2.5Gb Ethernet chip still faulty?

So, I was set to buy an ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (non-wifi) motherboard for my build, but I did some reasearch and saw a lot of people saying the Internet port did not work as it should, or it did not work at all, all because of the"Intel® I225-V 2.5Gb Ethernet chip, but all those complaints were from 2020. How do I know if the Ethernet port will work or if the issue has been fixed? Keep in mind I am just a kid from Portugal, so I don't have a clue if I'll be able to return it if the board's Ethernet connection is not working properly. Thanks.

I would just get a board with realtek 2.5G instead, like the gigabyte b550 pro

GPU: Red Devil RX 7900XT with custom 3D printed AIO mount, X62 | Sound: Odac + Fiio E09K | Case: Fractal Design R6 TG Blackout |Storage: MP510 960gb and 860 Evo 500gb | Cooling: CPU: Noctua NH-D15

But everything I wanted is on the b550-f, could I update the drivers through an USB pen without internet?

Ofc. I don't know if that fixes anything though. As I said I would just get another board.
