Toolbar not working :(

Chilly500

Hi all I was wondering is anyone knew why I can't right click any of my apps on my toolbar or click the search icon. I am not able to access any of the apps that I do not have pined to my taskbar. Thank you to all that can help.

Dumb question: Have you tried restarting it?
Try this: Open Task Manager and kill "File Explorer". That should cause you to maybe lose display for a few seconds, the taskbar missing, display flashing, etc, but will recover in a few seconds by itself.

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

This has happened to me a lot of times, and restarting it fixes everything. @Chilly500 Try this, and see if it fixes anything.

Did you just get a Windows update? If so, try to rollback.

This page might help you a bit, try following the instructions mentioned. Would recommend NOT following the methods that include Registry and Command Prompts/Powershell.
