Hello Guys, i bought an Intel 5400LX from eBay. The Mainboard got Destroyed in shipping. Because replacing it is throwing good Money after Bad i Just want to use the Case Like it was my Original Plan. I want to slap my GA-Z97x-soc an my I5 4670k in there.

Now to the Part wehre i Need your swarm knowledge. The Server PSUs that are in there Connect to a "Thing" and that "Thing" hast the Molex ATX and Others connectors wired in. So you Guys know If that "thing" is a Standard Part in Servers wich i could buy ? Or would IT be easier and cheaper to buy a rackmount Powersupply that has Not a male Slot but the 24 Pin and 4/8 12v alredy hard wired?

Im sorry but to my Defense as i have Seen Many rackmount psu Pictures With a male Slot i thought it would be a Standard Part of serverparts and someone who is more familiar With Servers would know what im talking of. Here you Go Pictures: The First Thing is the "Thing wich the psu plugs in to and that has the connectors" Seconds the Back of "the thing" 3: 1of the two Power PSUs

delta electronics ac-051 a

Hotswap Power Supply Backplane

That device lets you use 2 hot swappable PSUs to minimize downtime.

If you're trying to build into an OEM Server case, you're gonna be in for a fight, they generally are not very 'standard'.  If you want to build a case into a server rack box?  Buying a case that supports ATX boards and PSUs is a better choice.

so ähm funny followup question 😄 i just realized that this IS a 24 Pin ATX Connector and it even got an p8 and p4 Connector because of the age and my previus wrong Grab of an old spare PSU from around that age of Tech i assumed it would be a 20 Pin and only p4 Connector (silly me).  Scince normaly voltages and Phase Ground and Neutral pinlayout  for These Connector types are standardized it would be Safe to Connect my newer Mainboard to it right ? Or would there be also diffeences in an OEM Environment?

Edit: I Flipped thrue the Charts and Documentation that i could find and it should work. I threw everything in the Case and bapeti bupeti works like a Charm. Now i can finally Set Up my Nas/Pihole/Gameserver
