Apple Fast Charging Feature

Hi! So I'm about to get a hand-me-down iPhone 8 Plus from my cousin. I've learned that it does not come with the fast charging brick out of the box so it got me thinking if I can use my Samsung 25W charging brick to make use of the iPhone 8 Plus fast charging feature. Will it affect the battery performance on the iPhone 8 Plus?
