Trusted retailers

Hey all, I'm a newbie in the PC building world and I'm trying to determine where to buy which parts. I know I shouldn't really be buying anything off secondary market sites, like eBay and StockX, but I'm wondering who ARE trusted retailers, especially in the UK (where I'm based)? I know so far of Amazon, Newegg, Overclockers UK, CCL, and SCAN.
 

If you buy a PC component from one of these retailers, does the manufacturer's warranty / guarantee still apply to you?

I have hard good things about Currys PC world (not to sure tho, am in the us

Although I would just use uk.pcpartpicker.com, the warranty should stay applied most of the time

Aria, Scan, Overclockers, Ebuyer, CCL, Amazon, Novatech, Currys, awd-it, Box, Technextday. Those are the ones off the top of my head. There's more specialist ones like BroadbandBuyer and 4gon for networking equipment. 

 

I wouldn't use Newegg in the UK, you'll end up spending more because of shipping, import and duty fees. 

 

EDIT: And yeah, the manufacturer warranty applies if you buy through a retailer.

Actually, does this apply to Amazon if the seller isn't Amazon themselves, but some other third party?
