So, I keep on having this problem where my wifi router (xfinity) keeps on making my dns server fail every time I restart the computer. I’m not familiar with any type of coding of sorts and I’ve watched a few videos on how to delete the file for the dns via command prompt. I’ve also tried to use googles dns server, but to no avail. I have absolutely no idea why this keeps on happing. Just died one day while I was away. I’ve also updated the drives on the mobo from a usb device and had no change what so ever. Any and all help would be very grateful!!

Sincerely,

Have you configured Google's DNS server on your PC or the router?

Is this what you're talking about?

Does this issue also occur on other devices connected to your router?

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

MKBHD is but an Apple propagandist and fanboy. Take his videos with a grain of salt, especially about anything Apple. In his video titled "I Visited Apple's Secret iPhone Testing Labs!", he has shown that he makes no effort to fact check Apple's claims, and takes it at face value. I do not believe he can be trusted as an Reviewer/Influencer.

Yes I have tried to do it though that window. And no it is not happening to any of my other devices, like all other device work perfectly fine with no problems. Problem is is that the internet I use is also being used and controlled through my neighbor (split level house) and he has the password for the router. Might have to get it from him.
