I currently have an imac 27 inch late 2012 and a dell inspiron 14 chromebook. I have recently started getting into gaming. Mainly COD MW. I have been looking at prebuilds over the last few weeks for the ideal addition. Ideally I would not be using it so much for gaming but for light video editing. I would rather purchase a desktop that I might be able to do minor upgrades on but I have never built a computer before so I am hesitant to do anything major. Also, as stated I have had a 2012 imac since release and only in the last year have i started running it from an external sd and bumped the ram.

I was looking at the hp bundles at Costco for a prebuilt to get me into the next decade. I do live in Canada, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Obviously, I would love to try to build my own, but I have never tried and with the current prices, I may have to wait on that.

2000 Cdn at most although I would still need to get keyboard, mouse, monitor

remember to quote to get response from someone.

Im going to spec out a custom for you, but i wanna know the HP bundles available in your area as a point of comparison. Prebuilt is really competitive option in this market condition, if you cant afford to wait 2-3 months of backorder or overpaying a scalper.

Thanks, I was looking at an i5 10th gen Hp envy with GTX 1650. It  would come with 27inch monitor, 512gb ssd, 2tb ram. Costco price is approx. $1400 CDN

I got banned from costco site (dont ask me how) and it would be nice to know what kind of monitor and actual ram (you mentioned HDD size there) it comes with.

But looking at their power supply spec of 400W its gonna be pretty much locked out of any upgrade unless it comes with a standard sized PSU.

But this is what i can build with all custom parts:

It has a better CPU, way better GPU, with 144hz monitor and pretty good peripherals and audio. But that means you need to wait for 3000 series to be back at stock to build it for games, but the 11400 has igpu so you can atleast use it for basic office and video use.

Looks good. Yea that was one of the issues i have been having in buying prebuilt if there were a lot of proprietary components and I would like some future upgrades.

The monitor was a 27 inch FHD, no sound output 1920x1080 but no other info online.

I believe the PSU might be proprietary based on my research.  The ram was 12gb, 512 SSD, and 2 TB HDD. No info on the specifics of it through.  It was model TE01-1089b HP
