Frame drops in fullscreen mode

FazeTheAce

I have a 2070 super. When I'm running heavy games like Warzone, Red dead redemption and Cyberpunk (these are the games I've tried currently) on fullscreen mode no matter what the resolution is I get a huge framerate drop. But this doesn't happen to other games like Apex legends, CS:GO, PUBG and Valorant. My understanding is that when its a heavier game this happens but I know for a fact that my graphics card can give out more frames. The frames drop as low as 6-10 fps. I've seen a few solutions in YouTube, nothing really helped. Could really use some help!

Hmmm when the problem is present only in fullscreen try second click on the icon > Compatibility > and check the "disable fullscreen optimisations". By default it's unchecked.

DotNet Framework. I don't play RDR so i have no clue what version it requires, but the last time i had problems with fullscreen game (although almost 10 years ago) it turned out to be a DotNet issue.

Also try to restore all your settings in nVidia Control Panel.
