Charging Modes On Alienware M17 R3

Hey guys!

 

I recently moved to an Alienware M17 R3. I always use (work/study + game) my laptop while plugged in and I found out that was no way to stop charging the laptop to a 100% unless I changed a few settings in the BIOS. In said BIOS settings, there are different modes of charging.

- Adaptive
- Standard
- ExpressCharge
- Primarily AC use
- Custom

 

Could someone please tell me what these mean? I currently have it on Custom 50%-80%.
