Surface Pro 7 Keyboard Problem

I've had a Surface Pro 7 with the accompanying keyboard for about a year.

I don't know exactly since when, but every time I close the keyboard and then turn the laptop back on, the keyboard stops working for a short time. I find this quite annoying and wanted to ask if someone might have the same problem or if they could just help me out.
