Why does my computer boot twice?

Sometimes for some reason, my computer will boot up and as it finishes loading windows 8 logo. It somehow restarts back to mobo loading screen and boots up all the way. Why? How do I fix it?

I7-6700k, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, 2 x 8GB Corsair Dominator Plantinum ram, ASUS GTX 960 STRIX, sound blaster zx, 1TB boot drive ssd, 128GB/256GB storage ssd, 1TB storage HDD, 4TB of storage (backup),Windows 10 Pro,1000w psu

Are you using Windows 8 with UEFI by any chance? With UEFI, windows uses your motherboard logo during boot, that's probably why it looks like it boots 2 times.
