Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

is this a good build? does the motherboard work nicely with this CPU/RAM? will the cooler fit in this case? any tips would help. (gpu is not listed i will be purchasing one at a later date when available)

Looks good. You will need a gpu as the 5800x doesnt have an igpu but if you get a good one youll have a good pc

nice. with that, I would recommend 3070 or even 3080 in the future when you build  it.
