Booting to BIOS problem!

Sinando123

Hi all,

Just recently started building my own pc using the following components.

  • Motherboard - ASUS TUF GAMING B550M - PLUS
  • CPU - AMD RYZEN 5 3600
  • GPU - Palit GTX 1060 JetStream
  • RAM - 8gb x 2 Crucial Ballistix RGB DDR4 3200
  • Power Supply - Corsair CX650F
  • Storage - Verbatim 1TB

run into problem when i've tried booting my rig. everything powers on fine but cant get it to boot on my monitor.

keep getting the DRAM light blinking when i boot with 2 RAMs. if i do just the one. i get yellow dram light for 5secs then the red cpu light.

sequences i've tried.

  • no RAM - just yellow DRAM blinks every 5secs
  • 1 RAM - tried 1 stick of RAM in every slot which gets me the yellow DRAM for 5secs followed by the red CPU light ( tried with 2 separate RAM sticks)
  • 2 RAM - just get the DRAM yellow light blinks every 5secs
  • took out battery to reset the CMOS waited for 20secs or so.

read up ASUS forum it might be the CPU which i've checked seems to be fine. brand new no bent pins
