Photo editing. When saving in photoshop, my file goes in my SATA slower SSD. In Photoshop, any files under 500mb saves in an instant, but anything over that is really slow. The more I test saving large files on my 970 evo I realize it is not that faster on average. I guess you are right, and it is probably a software problem influencing the save time.

Yeah, I'm using a 3970X to a Gen4 NVMe and the once the files are over 500 as you say...  doesn't get much better. I don't think setting something like that up is worth your time.
