I woke up this morning to see that NiceHash cannot connect on one of my PC's. Can't get jobs, can't connect to the website.

So, everything else works. I start poking around, and if I disable PIA, I can connect to NiceHash no problem, and get jobs. Tried a different server, same problem. Started trying other random servers, and eventually, I found one that allows me to get jobs, but won't let me access nicehash.com. The kicker, my other PC, also running PIA, works just fine.

I'm getting slightly fed up with PIA, and kinda wish I had gone with a different VPN at this point. >_> Is this a temporary thing, or am I going to need to disable PIA on this machine?

I'm still having this problem. PC 1 lets me connect to NiceHash with PIA running and connected to the Seattle server, while on PC 2, if PIA is running, NiceHash won't connect to anything.

I guess I'm going to have to choose between PIA or mining. >_>

Was having the same issue, the only solution I found was switching to another nearby server. Las Vegas and Silicon Valley work for me connecting to nicehash which I only thought to try because you specified Seattle. Might just be a Seattle problem

I bounced around for 20 minutes. Silicon Valley works for me... I had to go all the way out to Florida last night. >_> Then, YouTube and a few other websites just broke using that server...

Trying Silicon Valley again and it's doing okay, but everything is really laggy.

  • 1 month later...

I changed the DNS servers from PIA defined to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, reconnected to the same VPN server (Sydney Au in my case) and everything started working as expected.  I thought maybe MACE was blocking it, that was my next test but didn't seem to need to modify that setting.
