Friend needs help

My friend has recently wanted to get into pc gaming, sadly he play fortnite, could anyone recommend him a full pc build that runs 144 frames on a £600-£800 budget, any help would be appriciated i would have done him a parts list just idk what gpu to pair due to the prices and most not in stock.

Since they play fortnite, which isnt that demanding, a lower end CPU and GPU combo will be fine. Something like a 10100F from intel should do the trick or an R3 3100 from AMD.

 

For the GPU, as I said luckily Fortnite isnt that demanding so you could probably get something like a 1650 which hits around 100FPS at high no shadows, and if you go to low settings with max distance which is basically the mode most pros would probably play at to increase visability of other players and items, thatll sit at around 180FPS.

 

In terms of RAM, it depends on the CPU but it should be 16GB as a minimum and for AMD 3000+ MHz is a must, 8 will get by but its very soon going to be an issue. Everything else can be budgeted to fit in your price range. Ive done so below.

Note I went for a B550 board for AMD, while you can get an A320 board to be cheaper, the upgradability of a B550 board will make it worth the extra cost.

 

Personally the extra £30 overall for the AMD system will probably be better overall due to said upgrade paths, with AMD allowing multiple generations of CPUs to run in the same socket, which should mean the motherboard should be able to be used for a longer period of time. Intel while cheaper at first doesnt support that many upgrade paths usually and looking at the leaked 11 series 11700k its very underwhelming.

GPUs are hard to come by these days. Even the lower end ones.

 

May her better off buying a prebuilt.
