I was trying to install a mounting bracket in order to water cool my system, however due to shipping failure I did not posses the right screws, during this process my cpu was ripped out by my old air cooler but both the cpu and the socket look fine. However when I reinstalled my air cooler and booted, I was able to be in windows 10 but I am not able to recognize any form of audio device plugged into the rear jack, Ive tried reinstalling drivers, looking at my bios, making sure things are enabled in control panel, is my motherboard somehow broken from simple maintenance?

Specs:

ROG Strix B550f motherboard

Ryzen 7 3700x

RAW II 5700xt

2 sticks of 8 gig ddr4 corsair vengeance

HDMI audio is currently not working with the AMD driver not from November, ran into this myself, revert to the November drivers, if that doesn't solve the problem, a quick stop to a microcenter or best buy for a new HDaudio cable might be in your future. Try reverting the drivers first, then reseat CPU as the next step. Try to not spend money unnecessarily.
