I'm looking for a laptop, my budget is about 1000 us dollars, I don't game nor do video editing, but I do software development and the current protect I'm working requires as much power as possible. Im having trouble finding a laptop that fits those requirements, if someone have a recommendation it will be appreciated.

Yeah i need it asap mi current laptop i bought as a student about 5 years ago and it has an I5 4200U and 6 gb of ram wich means i need about half an hour just to get the project running and have constant restarts through the day, the problem is i live in cuba wich means is 3 to 20 times as hard to find anything since i need to go to another country just to buy something since we dont have stores that sell them and cant buy online. Thats why im doing a little bit of research before i commit to something

If you are fine with macOS I find it easy to recommend the M1 MacBook Air. Just be noted that Bootcamp is not available as of yet.
