Hi everyone I'm looking for help picking an upgrade for my system. I'm currently using the Samsung 860 EVO 500gb. I'm looking for the best 1tb ssd I can get for around $100. It would be used as my main os drive, for games, and other programs. Thank you!

Additionally, which models do you have picked out that you're looking at? If you use the drill down tool on something like Newegg you can select all SSD's under $100 and sort by most popular. I'm assuming you've done that part?

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

It doesn't really matter to me, whichever one will get me better performance for what I'd be using it for.

Looking online, I saw that either the crucial p1 or intel 665p might be good options.

Intel's 665 Series is an NVMe drive available right at $100. Solid upgrade.

Honestly would not buy intel 660/665/670p or crucial p1/p2 at this point. 660p was great deal couple of years ago, but nowadays there are a bunch of ssd-s with similar price, which are much less slow. WD SN550 is good example.

100MB/s write speed once the buffer is full is really not great...

From the looks of it the SN550 seems to have slightly better performance than the other two, so I guess I'll go with that.

The SN550 is a great drive. I picked one up a couple months ago for only $99, and it's been great.
