New Server Build - Software suggestions/ structure

Budget (including currency): Open source

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Websites

Hey guys. I've just bought a 7049A-T with all hardware components and 4x 6TB Seagate Xeon HDD.

I'm looking to setup a server for a website SAAS I want to get up and running in my spare time as a hobby to begin. Don't really want to rely on AWS given all the bad press of AWS stealing shit or have to rely on a particular proprietary software to get stuff done.

Really want to support an open source community and eventually help contribute code/moneys in the future when I get some.

I'm looking for something scalable. It basically will need to be able to eventually have multiple locations and maybe multiple websites/domains linking to it.

Hopefully in the near future I will buy a few more boxes and stick them in another country.

I have been looking into Openstack & cloudstack. Is this the right thing to combine all servers togeather.

open to hear everyone's suggestions to make sure im picking the right thing. Also would love to hear who you think has the best community.

I have experience building home PC's and raids inc with linux but servers and especially server raids across multiple locations are a whole new ball game so if anyone has suggestion or videos on where to start learning with something like this also open to that.

Cheers,

Matt
