I recently built a new PC and can not figure out why it will not power off. When I select power off, or reset from Windows, it does as it is supposed to until actually attempts to power off. Instead of all power shutting off, the fans continue to run, and mother board lights are still on. Same problem with reset. Once it get's to that point, I have to manually cut power from the power button on the case by holding it for 5 seconds. This also prevents me from allowing my PC to sleep, otherwise I have to kill power with the case button, then power the PC back on. I've checked the case pins on my motherboard, and everything is correct. Please help!

I would say that's probably a Windows problem. My current rig does the same thing but only in Linux, not Windows (haven't bothered trying to fix it yet). Check windows update or the mobo manufacturer's website for a new driver that might get it to work properly
