Using laptop display as monitor !

my laptop has both vga and hdmi port & my gpu has dvi d and hdmi port, how do i use my laptop display as a monitor ! will a hdmi to hdmi cable do the trick🤨

The laptop has only outputs - no inputs.

To use your laptop display as a monitor you'll need to take the laptop apart, find the panel model number, and get a controller board from China via eBay.
