Is it ok to run a SATA to 6 pin to both a riser and an SSD

OnlyAxolotl

I ran out of 6 pin to sata connectors and corsairs and evga aren't compatible (would turn on the powersupply with evga plugged in)

I have multiple gpus and have been told not to plug more than one 6 pin to sata to another gpu.

Would a 240gb SSD be OK. I don't think the power draw should be that much?

What are you trying to do..? PCIe 6 pin to SATA adapters?

What PSU? How many and what GPU’s?

Yeah correct 6 pin to sata adapter.

The corsair cables are wired differently and my PSU wouldn't boot with the evga cables as they have different pins taken out (corsair in the middle, evga on the outer)

1000w PSU with 4 GPU. The gpu that the SSD is now connect to is a 1060. is it possible that would cause harm, its a relatively low watt card so?

How many hard drives do you have that your 1000 watt PSU doesn’t have enough SATA cables..? I run a 650 for my homelab and have 12 hard drives plugged in, and I could do more.....

Why do you have Corsair and EVGA cables? But yes, don’t use different cables for different PSU’s unless you confirm they are in fact the same pin out, if they are not, that’s how you let the magical smoke out (as in dry things).

What are you trying to do here? Why so many GPU’s? What is the full setup?
