Fps is same with every setting.

So i downloaded garrys mod and after that my fps has been 62 stable in pubg when it used to be around 130. Battlefront 2 used to be 200 and now is 130. 

Help is appreciated

On what disk/drive is Garry's mod installed on? Did you download servers on Garry's mod like DarkRP, etc..? How much space do you have left on the disk/drive your games are installed?

Check your nvidia control panel (assuming you are using a nvidia card), restore 3d settings for global, check if you turned on vsync or simply any sync by accident in games setting

Did both fps still 62

I downloaded it on my harddrive (S) it has 1600gb and my ssd has 465 gb. Played on darkrp

Did you try uninstalling GMOD and see if the games came back to normal frames after the uninstallation? Thats probably the most logical thing to do to help determine if GMOD is at fault or nah.

Uninstalled and apparently did nothing.

Oh okay.. gmod is usually a really fuckey game so something small could've been done to some registries. Just use CCleaner to clean registries and try testing frames again.

Cleaned the registries using ccleaner and same thing no change what so ever

Did you try and default the Nvidia Control Panel settings? If yes and nothing changed.. did you try restarting the computer and then seeing if the FPS came back to normal?

 

This sounds stupid but restarting your computer usually/sometimes fixes these kind of issues and especially after installing a game like Garry's Mod.

This sounds stupid but restarting your computer usually/sometimes fixes these kind of issues and especially after installing a game like Garry's Mod.

I have restarted my computer the first time it did boost my fps in Battlefront from 30 to 130, but no luck doing it again. I defaulted the nvidia panel 3d settings if that is what you mean.

EDIT:

Got pubg running at around 140fps by chaging the max fps from unlimited to screen based. It was unlimited before.
