Software for backing up data?

l11h

Hi,,

I currently have a file server, it's just on linux and running samba for file storage, nothing complicated.

The problem is right now the only way I back up data is to do it manually, this can either be done through FTP or the network drive I have.

What I want to know is, is there any software that does automatic backup? What I mean is just say my documents folder on the local machine, the software updates that data to the network drive, and if any updates are made it will only upload the updated files.

The reason why I want this is because right now i'm confused as to what files i got on the server and on local machine, so I upload the same file multiple times which is just stupid. And making new folders making no sense.

I dont mind paying for a backup software solution, I use Windows for client machines so it doesn't matter if it doesn't support Linux / Mac OS.

ty :)
