DRAM QLED constant on

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

The board needs a bios update most likely.

If Qflash button method doesn't work, you need a 3000 series to post the board and flash it through bios instead.

Hello,

After a night of trying to troubleshoot it myself I've decided to come to the experts.  I am using a Asus ROG STRIX x570-i motherboard,  amd 5600x cpu, evga ultra ftw 3080 and G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB.

After putting the components together and attempting to power on the qled remained a solid yellow indicating dram issue. I tried reseating the ram a few times,  double and triple checked cables, tried each stick of ram in each slot individually,  cleared cmos and trying my ram from my current build (which i know works) into the new one.  No luck.

Tomorrow I will be trying each component out of the case but was just wondering if anyone here had any other solutions before it came to that.

Things to note:

despite the vram qled, the rgb for the ram is working perfectly.

Tried plugging hdmi into gpu slot initially then tried the mobo

All lights working as should

Computer will not get to bios

Tried with and without keyboard in usb ports.. couldn't tell if the keyboard got power but plugged my phone in and it did

Regards

Josh

Hey, sorry I listed my old motherboard instead of the new one. New one is Asus ROG Strix 570-i, it should be compatible with 5600x out of the box. I'll still give it  try though

Didn't have QFLASH but had  friend nearby with a 3000 series, once drivers were bios updated put my cpu back in and worked well. Thank you.
