Hey,

i have a quick question, I am searching a gaming chair for around 200 Euros. Right now I'm still not shure which one i'm gonna buy. I have two chairs shortlistet the first ist the DX Racer 1 or 5 and the second one is the Aerocool Duke (Link: https://aerocool.io/product/duke/ ). Which one of the two would you recommend to me? (Btw. Im 1.81m tall) Or would you recommend me a completly differend one? The DX Racer is very popular, but the specs of the Aerocool seems a bit better to me but I really dont know whats important. But the Problem with the Aerocool is that there is just one video in english and he normaly uses chairs for around 100€ so its clear that he likes the chair because the other ones he use/test are way more unexpensiv. Most of the videos to this chair are on russian and I dont speak russian haha.

(Btw sorry for my Bad english, im from Germany)

Gaming chairs are gimmick, and garbage. Poor body support and posture support leading to soar asses and backs as a result. What you should do, get a proper office chair that provides proper support for your body and cushion for your bum bum.

I find gaming chairs to be overly large, I like to be able to see my desk rather than have it obscured by a huge chair.  I've got the IKEA Alefjall, which one of the LTT team also have (Anthony?).  Comfy large seat, padded arms and will allow you to lean back pretty far.  As a bonus, an unrestricted view of my desk.

To add onto this, i would highly suggest against buying any chair without first sitting in it. Reviews for chairs are some of the hardest things to use since everyone is different, not just in butt shape, but sitting style, sitting position, weight etc. Something comfortable for one person may feel like concrete for someone else.

And to add to this.

Make sure you measure yourself to ensure that the chair will fit you.

All those dimensions will help making your decision.

I personally use a HM Mirra 2, and as a big guy I prefer this over an Aeron. I never found a racing seat as comfort. If you HAD to go gaming chair I would actually look into the HMxLogi Embody, I personally might upgrade to that one over time. Or even a standard Embody.
