a cheap usb analyzer?

there is the Beagle USB 12 Protocol Analyzer, but is way to expensive for my pockets

 

I've seen a couple of clones around, but it seems that they have been taken down, since I do not find stocks

 

so any suggestions?

 

there are also some software things, but I'm not sure if they can do aswell the job or not

Just as a note: that's for USB 1.1; the 2.0 version is $1400

Basically I do have a device that works with windows, thanks to some generic drivers, but it suck

 

so I wanted to build one from scratch, or trying to force/adapt a prebuilt one to that device, but to do so I would like to know what's the usb is doing

 

the manufacturer doesn't provide any useful documentation nor is willing to provide any

 

also I'm not really sure about it, since it's my first time attempting to do something like that
