Hello, after a few months break from warzone I am now back at it, sadly my computer (same specs as before) doesn't seem to be performing as well as earlier. I do not know what this stems from and I dont know how to deal with it. After searching through a couple of forums I downloaded Geforce Experience and downloaded the "GeForce Game Ready Driver" although I do not know if thats the correct one but hopefully. I didn't see much change so I reinstalled the game which helped a bit with the FPS but still it is drastically worse than before. It might have to do with the cooling since I think I only have a stock cooler which perhaps isn't the best, but I am not that good with building and renovating computers. Before I had everything on High and laid steadily at around 75 FPS, now I barely get around 60 FPS (mostly under) and I feel like the game looks worse overall than it did before. I'd be very glad if someone could help me with this.

Specifications:

GTX 1070 8 GB

i7 4790

16 GB ram

You're using an Intel stock cooler?

Yes I am using an Intel stock cooler, I just used compressed air to clean it as it was quite dusty so I will see if it helped. I did not mean as in prior post, I meant before my break from the game, I do not really know what has happened as I haven't kept up with either the PC "scene" or the warzone scene.

Ah.

You might want to get a better cooler.

Yeah I understand that, I just put my computer on top of my desc as well, the graphics card is at least 10 degrees celcius cooler and the game seems to be running much smoother. Not to bother you, but what would you recommend? I am not experienced with installing new components either but I could probably just watch a youtube video.

For a cooler?
I'm not sure - I'm good at finding things to upgrade but not sure what to recommend when there are lots of options.

Though a Hyper 212 might be good? Not sure, sorry :(
Out of curiosity, is your floor carpet?

No worries, I'll check it out, thank you my friend. No it isn't but sometimes I slack off with the vacuuming and dusting so there was pretty much dust in the cooler as well as on the bottom of the chassi which I now actually think is quite the fire hazard. I live in Sweden so during the summer I most oftenly had my door open so that maybe there was better natural air flow in the room and also the computer? I'm just taking a wild guess
