Hello you filthy heretics.

So i played a pretty big chunk of Warhammer 40k games. I mean both, 40k and fantasy. Read few books and fell in love ever since.

I started to develop interest in tabletop versions and wear the big boy pants. My question is, what is the official "battle" size of the figures. I seen few different sizes of space marines or chaos.

Are there some figure related restrictions and guidelines i should know and follow? Please share some light on this subject. I'm surfing on youtube for any bit on information. Thank you.

Kind Regards.

28mm heroic is the generic scale.

Warhammer company calls it 25mm or 32mm.

They're doing really weird pay to win stuff right now so there's several grades of space marines and space marines generally just got bigger for no real reason.

Tournament rules on models: if it came with the kit, it's allowed. You can do some conversions as long as it doesn't give you an unfair advantage. Ie making something unnaturally small or big.

Personally I'm not a big fan of 40k anymore because they're releasing too many things and changing the game without balancing really. The original creators of warhammer made a new company called warlord games and balances their games decently.

Unless you play super casually under the rule of cool as the game intends, warhammer is just bad in all gameplay and monetary respects.
