Hello there,

Recently I upgraded the OS on my old computer to Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and although at first everything seems to work perfectly. once I try to play any game it crushes, stutters , having hiccups. It happens to all games that can run on it. So far tried on Dishonored, Thief, Banner Saga at some point during gameplay without prior notice the graphics got stuck and a buzzing sound is coming out of the speakers. It is as if there is not enough memory available for it to run OS and the game smoothly.

The build:

ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A89GTD-PRO (AM3)
AMD Phenom II X4 955

16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 674MHz (9-9-9-24)

2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 (MSI)

So far I run Memory tests that were a pass every time, Windows are installed on the a 250 GB Kingston SSD, Windows are fully updated, the graphics card driver is the latest supported by that old graphics card, no virous in action, fully operational power supply.

Is there something else I can try?
Why would a system crush after some time in a game?

The crushing can happen at any time during gameplay, there are times that happens one minute into the game and others I could play for hours until this happens. I believe that Windows has something to do with this since I had no such issue on Windows 7 with the same build.

Thank you in advance for your feedback.
