New pc build - new gpu crashing

Hello All

 

Built new pc with my old graphics card whilst waiting for new gpu. System absolutely fine no issues. New gpu arrived today and after installing it, it keeps crashing when I try run anything. Watching task manager during this I can see the gpu spikes to 100% use and blacks the screen out shutting down whatever program I had tried to open. On some occasions I get a d3d device was removed error. Specs below 

 

motherboard H110-D3A

gpu RX5700XT

i7-6700K

aerocool aero 550w Bronze Plus 

Ram 2x Corsair value 8GB

 

no overheating on gpu or cpu

Did you uninstall the old GFX card drivers?

Not at first I then ran DDU and installed Radeon software. If I try and open the software I get the same crash issue

any help with this one, tried installing older version of adrenaline where it seemed to work for others and not helped.

someone advised the PSU could be too weak so have changed for a 700w aerocool - same issues. Tried a tool called OCCT and ran various tests and no errors coming back?
