ps4 controller don't turn off

My ps4 controller works, but when i turn it off, it starts flashing orange. I do not have an ps4, i got this controller from an friend. it worked before, i took out the battery because i only used it in the computer, now after i placed the battery back in, it started doing this stuff, i can connect it to my phone through bluetooth and when i disconnect it, it turned fully of before, but now it youst starts flashing orange.
