Laptop desktop Replacement

Hi I was looking to build a desktop with AMD 5000 serious CPU and rtx 3000 or rx 6000. Which is impossible right know. the cost is sky rocketing so I was thinking why not buy a laptop with High end specifications but I don't know if this is a good idea if I connect the laptop to a monitor and Keyboard and mouse. It's good to know that my current laptop is Lenovo Yoga pro two i7. 

the new cpu and gpu is available in my country (UAE) double the original price.  

the ryzen 9 5900x almost 1000$ 

the rx 6800 xt also 1000$ or some brands like asus 1500$. 
rtx 3000 is worst. For 1500$ for 3080 and 2200$ for 3090.  
I can wait until February but after that i need the new pc

Uh, you're never gonna get that kind of performance in a laptop, and a laptop will cost 2-3x the price of a comparable desktop.

 

I would either wait, or look at used parts. A used Ryzen 5 3600 or a Ryzen 3 3300x (the best value CPUs) and a used RX 5700/5700xt (the best value GPUs)

 

If you're big on DLSS or the ray tracing gimmick, then maybe a used 2070 Super.
