Hey everyone,

I am looking to buy a new microphone to upgrade from

my headset (will buy new headphones as well).

However, I would really like a microphone that will mount

to a boom arm so that i can easily move it out of the way

because i have limited space on my desk. My budget is

around £50, and i know the blue snowball is about this price

but i don't think it will mount to a boom arm.

Thanks for any suggestions.

With the "Ringer" mount, which is the shock mount for the Snowball, it should mount to pretty much any mic arm, afaik

@Lauen There is one problem with that suggestion though.

Unfortunately the price of the 'ringer' mount is almost as much

as the microphone itslef (3 to 4 times a normal mic shock mount)

so i will bear it in mind but other suggestions for microphones

would be appreciated.

Have a look at this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samson-CO1U-Studio-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B000PTF0E2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1394998726&sr=8-3&keywords=samson+mic and perhaps this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samson-SP01-Shock-Mount-Microphones/dp/B000LQLDM2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1394998726&sr=8-7&keywords=samson+mic

it's a little over though

Sure the snowball mounts to a boom arm. That's basically what the included stand is, right?

I would check if I had any stores in a reasonable distance, but I really don't, sucks to live in the middle of nowhere in Norway.

wait- googled "mic thread" and it certainly looks like the threads on the Snowball stand.
