B550 gaming plus not recognizing CPU

After flashing bios to the latest version the motherboard still doesnt recognize R5 5600x. When all components are in the debug leds show CPU for a ling while, then VGA for a long while skipping DRAM, then BOOT lights up and it either stays on BOOT or goes out. If only CPU is on the board CPU light stays on all the time and I cant turn power off by shorting pins.I cant get the system to post and im worried my mobo is somehow bricked

Did you ever end up finding out the solution to this problem? I have the exact same set of error LEDs.
