Need help choosing a pc

Hey guys. So I am looking to buy a gaming pc and dont have the time to build my own so I am going to buy a prebuilt, I have the money. I'm not sure if I should either buy one off Facebook from the marketplace or buy one from best buy.

I heard buying prebuilts from best buy is a bad idea but my only worry of buying from some stranger is that there could be something wrong with it plus it has been used

This person is selling this pc for $500 cad. See text below. MB: MSI B85-G43 CPU: Intel i5 4460 @ 3.2GHz RAM: 20GB DDR3 Mem: 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD GPU: RX570 4GB PSU: 500W Fresh install of windows!

Thanks

500 is very steep for that CPU, but it looks okay. Also just because it's a bestbuy prebuilt doesn't mean that it is bad. You can find good prebuilts

geometry is hard
b550 > x570

So do you think it would be better to just  buy a brand new pre built instead of going with this one. I agree $500 is a bit pricey for what you get I mean it's not a horrible pc but I'm pretty sure you could get a pre built at best buy for around the same price but better. I hear best buy pre builts are built cheaply and have lot of bloatware

I would recommend looking for systems with no GPU with a decent CPU, and then your put a GPU in it

Personally, if you can find something that fits your criteria, what does it matter if you get it from Best Buy or anywhere else for that matter?

At least, if you do buy it from there, you have a physical, bricks and mortar, store that you can visit and get an immediate replacement/refund if you do have any issues - rather the annoyance and time consuming process of repackaging it, shipping it back (at your own expense), waiting for the online retailer to get around to looking at it, then determining the problem etc...

Just my opinion, but if you can find what you need at a physical store I'd always go for that over online - at least when it comes to high ticket items that can potentially have problems (as all electrical devices do).
