Overclocking the 10900X?

mtosev

Well I've had the 10900X since this summer and I'm wondering if I should try to overclock it? My motherboard is quite oc capable, cooling also as I have an aio Corsair h115i pro water-cooling. The last processor that I overclocked was the C2D E6600 which hit 3.1ghz on the stock cooler. Btw in this time and age do you still oc the CPU via the BIOS or do you use that Intel extreme tunning tool. I have that installed.

Main computer Core i9 10900X, Asus Prime X299 Edition 30, Gskill 32gb 4x8 3600mhz, Asus Rog Strix RTX 2080 super, Samsung 970 pro 1tb, Corsair H115i pro, Cooler master Mastercase H500M, Dell Ultrasharp UP3017

Definitely use the BIOS

The only real advantage of the Intel HEDT chips is that they're fun to overclock, so I definitely recommend it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Ah I havent heard E6600 in a long while!  I remember buying a Q6600 back in 2006-2007 for my Crysis-capable PC.  I never thought I would still be running 4 cores almost 14 years later though
