New build, no display

Go to solution Solved by sssraj2003,

Ok, I had a friend who had the same issue. Do this. Power on ur PC and check for the error lights. Give it 10 seconds and tell me what light is on.

The error lights should be located at the top right of the mobo.

So this is the first PC I've built, and with the help of a friend I have managed to put the whole thing together. He recommended me some great parts off of newegg and Amazon, they're all new so nothing here is used. Here's what I'm working with:

GPU: rx 580

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

PSU: Seasonic Prime PX-850

MOBO: B550 Tomahawk

Case: Darkflash Gale DF140

Cooler: Wraith Stealth

Storage: Western Digital 1 TB SSD

Memory: Ripjaws Ddr4 2x16 gb ram

Monitor: Pixio Px248 Prime

So everything was wired to the PSU, all the connectors including the power connector was hooked to the motherboard and the GPU, all the components were in, and so the time came to finally test it out. Before I turned on the PC, I made sure the monitor was hooked on in the GPU first. After I hooked it up, I turned on the PC and didn't get any signal whatsoever. I tried my display input cable that came with the monitor, I even tried a spare HDMI cable I had laying around.

I don't think anything was wrong with any of my components since everything was on except the monitor. All the fans in the case were spinning, the RGB lights on my case were on, and my GPU was shining with lights. Everything worked, except the monitor. My friend suggested that I try to hook my PC up to my TV to see if my monitor was faulty, and that didn't work either. I then hooked up my monitor to my laptop just to make sure, and the monitor definitely worked. So whatever the issue is, it's not my monitor. I have all the pins connected to the mobo, and the GPU, and my monitor still won't display anything with the display cable connected to the GPU itself. I don't know what could be causing this issue, but its very frustrating to say the least.

Have you tried manually changing the input of the TV to the port you plugged in? Going to BIOS doesn't work?

The error lights should be located at the top right of the mobo.

I do recall seeing a red light somewhere on the motherboard, so I'll give this a shot and come back to see if it really is an error light.

Hey, I went and did what you said. I found an error light from the RAM, and so I decided to take out my RAM sticks and re-insert them. Got it all fixed now and I finally got my monitor to display, thank you so much!
