Mouse USB on the front panel, light strip usb, keyboard usb, mouse charger usb, and headset usb on the back part of the case

Boot with just the keyboard and mouse a few times and see if you get the message.

Plug the items in after you are in the OS if you need them.

If you boot a few times with only the keyboard and mouse and get no errors, then plug 1 of the other items in before boot.

Again plug the other devices in after the OS boots if you need them.

If you boot a few times with no errors and just 1 of the items plugged in, then add 1 more USB item prior to boot.

It sounds like one of them, likely the light strip, is pulling too much current.

Or it could be the combination of all of them.

If that's the case, then it would probably be best to get an external POWERED USB hub.

Meaning a hub that has its own power source, not powered by USB itself.

Just build my girlfriend a new PC today and surprised her with it. Everything was perfect until she restarted her PC and the computer got an error saying, "USB Over Current Protection, shutting down in 15 seconds." It happened another 2 times, then booted up normally. So far it's not happening again, but I'm scared it might happen again when she shuts the computer down and turns it on the next morning. Thoughts? Please Help!
