Budget (including currency): about $1500 CAD not including parts I already have

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and power user workload, nothing crazy

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have an alpha cool 280mm radiator pump and cpu water block on a 6600k right now, I have AM4 mounting hardware already and I’m moving to zen 3 soon so I’m trying to find a case and motherboard that have what I want.

I have a VERY small desk space (a converted closet), I recently bought a 34” ultra wide and it’s got about 8” on either side of the screen.

Im hoping to get a small system setup but ITX boards only have two RAM slots and from what I currently understand about ryzen there’s a lot on the table to be had for performance by going to 4 sticks and sticking with the 5600x.

what I’ve got planned currently is an micro ATX build, I was looking at the asrock b550 pro 4, based on price and it’s performance on this forums b550 motherboard rankings.

what I’m really struggling with is case selection. It needs to be narrow but also fit my 280mm radiator. Also because I have a small desk space I’ve been making use of vertical space so a wall mounted system is something I’ve been considering.

I’m open to being corrected on ram benefits or ideas to make my dad-cave more useful in terms of layout. So hit me!
