Can i overclock ram individually?

Go to solution Solved by -_ThatGuy_-,

You could try taking the klevv stick out of the pc and then enable xmp on the hyperx one and then put the klevv stick in and try xmp again with both sticks in. It's not recommended to mix sticks between them because problems like this would appear. If that doesn't work you either  stay at 2133mhz or buy a kit of 2x8gb. @DeadlyDivs

I have 16gb of ram in total, im using 2 types of brands which is a Klevv and a Kingston HyperX  Fury. When i first built my pc it originally came with the klevv and 2yrs later i bought a new ram stick which is the hyperx fury, after installing it, it runs 2133mhz dual channel for both but the kingston stick can run 2400mhz and the klevv can run 2133mhz but can be overclocked to 2400, so i tried to fix that by enabling xmp in the bios and it only used my klevv stick and didnt used the hyperx which means it was only using one 8gb ram stick and runs 2400mhz... so i concluded that both sticks arent compatible to run xmp together and now im currently running my pc on 2133mhz 16gb so my question will be can i overclock my klevv stickk to 2400 with my other stick?
